Tell us why you love to ride/race: In 1985, my dad took me into downtown Reno to watch the finish of Stage 5 of the Coors Classic. Hometown hero Greg LeMond won that day and went on to win the overall. I was hooked!
Cycling was a great escape for me when I needed it most. Like a lot of kids, I was dealing with some pretty serious issues at home but, when I went out for a ride, I didn’t have to worry about any of it. It was just me, my bike and the road. I got to meet a ton of great people and I quickly learned that cycling is much more than just a sport… It’s also an amazing community, with a culture all its own.
I can’t describe how great it feels to contribute to a teammate’s win in a race or to ride alongside someone who’s knocking of their first 100 miler! Cycling has always meant so much to me and I love seeing others discover this amazing sport!
